Safety Pool Covers

There are two types of Safety Pool Covers: Mesh and Solid. Safety Pool Covers are anchored to the swimming pool deck with straps that pull the cover taut over the pool. These straps are attached to steel springs and anchored to recessed brackets in the deck. When the Safety Pool Cover is not in use the deck brackets can be screwed down flush with the deck.

Please note that solar pool covers and winter pool covers are not safety pool covers.

Mesh Safety Pool Covers are for the long term typically during the winter months. Debris will blow off the top of a Mesh Safety Pool Cover and rain/snow will drain through (and perhaps a little silt too). Mesh Safety Pool Covers improve safety as puddles cannot accumulate on the service delivering peace of mind as toddlers and pets do not come into contact with shallow water.

Solid Safety Pool Covers are best used in areas that received fairly light rain falls. As rain or snow cannot drain through the cover like it’s mesh counterpart puddles can accumulate on the surface. Small cover pumps can be used which will automatically pump the water of the surface of the pool cover when detected.
